Pulse Poll deep dive shows widespread concerns about economic healthcare and mental health challenges
While political challenges and the high costs of living, housing and healthcare emerged as the primary concerns for residents statewide in the 2025 Colorado Health Foundation (CHF) Pulse Poll, a closer look at specific demographic responses reveals many Coloradans face challenges that far exceed the statewide average, according to newly released findings from CHF.
For the first time, respondents to the Pulse Poll cite political challenges as the state’s top issue
Coloradans love their state for its natural beauty, outdoor activities, and sense of community, among many other attributes. However, a consistent, though slightly reordered, list of top concerns related to high costs of living and housing, as well as an overwhelming number of respondents citing government and politics as their top concern, punctuate the results of the Colorado Health Foundation’s annual Pulse Poll. A bipartisan team of researchers collected responses from 2,333 Coloradans between April 19 and May 18, 2025.
Political challenges top the list of concerns in the 6th annual Pulse Poll, surpassing cost of living and housing
The Colorado Health Foundation’s sixth annual Pulse Poll revealed that while Coloradans love their state for its natural beauty, outdoor activities, and sense of community, they remain concerned about being able to afford living here long term. In addition, many Coloradans are also worried about increased political discord —an overwhelming number of respondents cited government and politics as their top concern.
