Coloradans love their state for its natural beauty, outdoor activities, and sense of community, among many other attributes. However, a consistent, though slightly reordered, list of top concerns related to high costs of living and housing, as well as an overwhelming number of respondents citing government and politics as their top concern, punctuate the results of the Colorado Health Foundation’s annual Pulse Poll. A bipartisan team of researchers collected responses from 2,333 Coloradans between April 19 and May 18, 2025.

The Colorado Health Foundation’s sixth annual Pulse Poll revealed that while Coloradans love their state for its natural beauty, outdoor activities, and sense of community, they remain concerned about being able to afford living here long term. In addition, many Coloradans are also worried about increased political discord —an overwhelming number of respondents cited government and politics as their top concern.
